Reported stolen was a wallet containing various forms of identification, credit cards, cash and the Fob needed to start the keyless ignition to their vehicle. The man door into the garage and the vehicle were both left unlocked. A Hamilton Township resident received a voicemail message from an unknown male advising him that he was entitled to a $400 refund from a computer program that he had purchased. The resident recently made a computer program purchase earlier this year and thought the call was pertaining to that. He provided access to his home computer and his online banking information in order to allow access to his account to get the refund. The suspect added several thousands of dollars into the account then told the male it was added in error and to withdraw the money. The suspect then threatened to take the rest of the money in his account if he did not comply with the request. It was unconfirmed if any money was lost from his bank account at the time he reported it to police. A freeze was put on all his accounts as soon as the male became aware this was a fraud. The Investigation is continuing.*
