(BLUEWATER, ON) - A teenaged driver from Camlachie has lost his driving privileges and will be making a trip to court following an impaired driving crash that took place on Labour Day.

At approximately 5:10 a.m. on September 3, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members responded to Park Avenue in Saint Joseph following a witness report that a vehicle had crashed into a tree.

A short while later police and paramedics arrived on scene to find a sedan had left the roadway and collided with a tree and an embankment. Fortunately, all three occupants in the vehicle were uninjured however upon speaking with the driver it was determined he had consumed some alcohol and his ability to drive was impaired.

Tanner NAUTA, 19 years of age, from Camlachie has been charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Young Driver - Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero. He has since been released from custody custody with a court date scheduled for October 1, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich. His vehicle was impounded for a week and his licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days.
