(COUNTY OF WELLINGTON, ON) - On September 19, 2020 at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a historical sexual assault that occurred at an address in the County of Wellington in March 2016.

As a result of the investigation, George Patrick MCPOLIN, 38-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Sexual Assault contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph at a future date to speak to the charge.

The accused also faces an additional two counts of sexual assault involving a separate victim, stemming from an incident that was reported to Wellington County OPP in July of this year.
